inspIration: Hope

I was talking to a friend a few days ago who has a big meeting scheduled to pitch a project she is working on.  I congratulated her on the great news to which she replied, “Well, it’s not a done deal yet, I don’t wanna get my hopes up.”  I don’t want to get my hopes up.  I never liked that phrase.  Why wouldn’t you want to get your hopes up about something that you are excited about?  If you don’t have hope, what’s left?

I believe in the power of attraction.  If you want something positive in your live to happen, you need to believe that it is possible.  You have to have the vision to see it in your mind’s eye.  You have to speak it into existence.

Hope is what puts me to sleep at night and gets me out of bed in the morning.  I pray for a better tomorrow and wake up hoping that today will be better than yesterday.  Life without hope is not living.

Do you believe in getting your hopes up?

  1. Yes! Sometimes it can be hard, and sometimes we become afraid of the “what if” but we must always hope. It is the light within you that shines in the face of the darkness…everything is possible so long as you hold hope.

  3. Hi Simone,
    Insightful post..it got me pondering:)
Hope is the only thing that gets me going..hope for a better tomorrow, hope for a better world, hope for great surroundings, and so much more hope…but disappointment is what keeps happening..and the only driver will continue to be hope until the universe start hearing and listening to my soul request 🙂
